These new gods of the young world first bore four children, hideous and mistaken. Nav`ean believed they should be kept to raise the world, but Iva`na argued that they were not fit to create a livable world. Against Her consort's will, She took their infant children and imprisoned them deep inside the lifeless planet. Infuriated, Nav`ean followed Her and visited His children after She had returned to the heavens. He proclaimed his two daughters and two sons known only in the common tongue as Famine, Wrath, Plague and Pain, believing they would bring chaos when He wished them to.
Together, Iva`na and Nav`ean tried again and birthed six gods. The first-born was Dharda, the wisest, to rule over the land. The next born was Naurin, the passionate. On the lifeless planet, he quickly brought forth a great mountain that let out the glowing insides of the world. Next came Alu, the compassionate, who created water to encircle the planet. Immediately following, Vilyan, the artist, created air and the atmosphere over the planet, the last piece required for the creation of life.
Yet two more children came - twins. The male, named Anaron, was set with three faces that he could show at will. He was handsome and strong, but effeminate. He guided the three large stars across the sky as the Master of Daylight. His twin sister, Ithila, Lady of the Night, was pale like the satellite she guided across the heavens when Anaron was at rest.
The Races
There were two main landmasses that surfaced. Dharda, Naurin, Alu, and Vilyan took their powers to the continent Forlas while Anaron and Ithila took their focus to the continent Hyath where their parents watched.
The first life created was the flora and fauna in many shapes, sizes, and varieties by Dharda. The next life created were all sorts of mystical creatures, born to serve their ruling god. The first races created were biped peoples very similar to several species of animals. Created by Naurin and Dharda, these races each had different primitive cultures and were named later as Kelvara.
The next two races were created at once by Anaron and Ithila. Anaron created fair, slender beings with large, perceptive ears in his image. Ithila created similar beings in her image, not as fair but plenty pale. These became known as the Gold and Silver Elves, or the Ar`Quessir and the Mith`Quessir.
It wasn't until much later that Nav`ean wished to create his own race. Iva`na advised against it, saying that they had given that power to their children. To prove Her wrong, Nav`ean mustered His power together and created His own race in the northern regions of Hyath. They were not nearly as fair as the elves or as strong as the Kelvara across the sea, but they prospered and grew in population immediately. Something unforeseen by Nav`ean was their lust for power and exploration. Not content to stay on Hyath, many in the race created ships and traveled far across to the Forlas continent, claiming it their own.
